If you are interested in seeing me as a Therapist, here’s a bit more about me.

I’m a NYC Based Psychotherapist with 2 Master’s degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help my clients remove the roadblocks  in their life, and help them get to a place where they can really thrive.

I hold a master’s degree in psychology from the Graduate Faculty at The New School for Social Research, as well as a second master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College, and am applying for PhD Programs for the fall of 2017 (also, my B.A. was in psychology and neuroscience).  I have been teaching psychology as an instructor for ten years so far at different colleges- Hunter College, The University of New England, CUNY- CityTech, The College of Saint Rose(and a bit before that in grad school as a teaching assistant). Additionally, I have been working on research projects examining physiology and trauma since 2012 (which have been presented at multiple conferences). I also worked for 2 years in Neuropsychology as an assistant psychometrist (doing neuropsychological testing under a psychologist) and worked with clients from childhood to late adulthood.

Currently I’m seeing clients for psychotherapy and counseling.  I work with adolescents and adults on a wide range of challenges from general counseling and adjustment issues (feeling “stuck”) to more clinical issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma.  I predominantly use Cognitive-behavioral therapy, but have training in many areas and use whatever therapeutic techniques are most appropriate for the client.  I have been focusing on LGBT clients for the last year, particularly in the area of transgender identity. I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is the absolute most important part of the process, so I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for people to explore whatever they need to explore during the course of therapy.

Skype Sessions are available if you live outside of the NYC area
